Project 5600
What Is Project 5600?
One of our most cherished initiatives is Project 5600, a special program dedicated to brightening the holidays for children battling cancer at Akron Children’s Hospital.
For over 10 years, we have been proud to support the cancer floor (5600) at Akron Children’s Hospital by providing gifts and Christmas cheer to every child who is hospitalized during the holiday season.
This initiative is made possible through the generosity and blessings of our community, with funds raised from the sale of our Christmas ornaments. Every ornament purchased helps us share the joy and light of Christ with these brave young hearts, ensuring they feel loved and supported during the season.
How It All Began:
The story of Project 5600 began when our Founder was at a catering event at Akron Children’s Hospital and noticed that many children were spending the Christmas season away from home while undergoing difficult cancer treatments. Although these children received excellent care, they needed something more—an effort to brighten their spirits during one of the most challenging times in their lives.
From this realization, Project 5600 was born. Since then, Faithful Hearts has worked year after year to ensure that no child on the 5600 flood faces the holiday season without the joy of receiving a special gift.
How You Can Help
The success of Project 5600 relies on the generosity of our supporters. Every donation—whether financial or in-kind—directly contributes to providing gifts that bring light and hope to these young fighters.
